Kent F. Bredehoeft, PE
Chairman
Kent Bredehoeft is responsible for the strategic, operational, financial and cultural leadership of the firm to create corporate growth, increased profitability and opportunities for employee improvement. Kent drives the corporate vision and values and provides leadership to more than 40 professionals through a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. A registered professional engineer in six states, he has devoted his 25-year career to the design and construction of commercial and military aviation fuel systems and to establishing industry standards for fuel facilities. His extensive resume includes fueling systems at most of North America’s busiest airports and multiple Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants (POL) projects for the U.S. Department of Defense in the United States and Middle East. Kent has contributed to several aircraft fueling master plans, and served as Secretary of the SAE 5c Aviation Fuel Facilities Committee, which develops planning and design standards for fuel facilities. Kent has a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri.

Steven W. Waag, PE
Director
As one of the founders of Argus Consulting more than two decades ago, Steve has earned a reputation as a leader in innovative design, evaluation and management of aircraft fueling projects. For more than 35 years, he has specialized in aircraft fueling systems engineering, contributing to more than 200 complex piping and fluid handling systems around the world. Airline consortiums, airport operators and oil and gas suppliers have trusted his counsel and technical support in the analysis, design and development of pipeline solutions and infrastructure improvements that are required to meet the growing demand for Jet-A fuel. Steve earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the South Dakota State University. He continues to serve as a Principal-in-Charge, owner’s representative and quality control manager for Argus projects and as a mentor to the firm’s engineering department, and as the Secretary for the Board of Directors.

Chris M. Straub, PE
Secretary
Chris Straub leads the marketing and business development efforts for Argus Consulting and serves as the Secretary of its Board of Directors. Chris also serves as a project manager for the planning, design and construction oversight of new hydrant systems, tank storage systems, truck loading and unloading, leak detection systems, hydrant cart test stands and overall system surveys. As a professional civil engineer licensed in seven states, Chris is an expert in managing design and construction projects for airport fuel storage and distribution systems. He also has extensive environmental management experience. In that role, Chris has prepared numerous Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plans (SPCC), Facility Response Plans, supervised direct push sampling activities, managed underground storage tank upgrade and closure projects, conducted site remediation and directed fuel line closure and remediation projects. Chris has a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University.

Terry Ruhl, PE, F ASCE
Director
Terry Ruhl joined the Argus Consulting Board of Directors in October 2018. Terry brings to Argus Consulting extensive experience in business transformation and global infrastructure consulting. He is the former President of CH2M’s Transportation and National Governments businesses and served on the company’s Board of Directors. Early in his career with CH2M, Terry was responsible for growing the firm’s aviation business into an industry front-runner while serving as Aviation Operations Leader and Market Segment Director. From 2012-2016, he served as President of CH2M’s global Transportation business which became one of the largest transportation consulting practices in the industry, doubling in size and profitability and achieving the No. 3 Transportation Design Firm ($1 billion in revenue) ranking by Engineering News-Record. He previously served on the Board of Governors for the Airport Consultants Council and as the Board of Directors Chair.
Terry has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University and a master’s degree in transportation engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. A life-long learner, he has completed executive education courses in leadership development, business administration and finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, the Thunderbird School of Global Management, the University of Michigan Business School, and the Harvard Business School. In addition, he is beginning his executive doctorate studies in business administration at DePaul University. Mr. Ruhl also serves as an Affiliate Faculty member in CSU’s Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.

Dr. David Kraft, PE
Director – Emeritus
Dr. David Kraft brings a broad range of specialized experience in private industry and higher education along with a unique business perspective to Argus Consulting in his new role on the Board of Directors. His extensive experience in engineering is deeply rooted in higher education, where he began as a professor at the University of New Mexico, then advanced to Dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Dayton, Ohio. Later, he served as Dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Kansas from 1978-1984 and later, as Director of the Master of Science Program for Engineering Management from 1990-1998. He retired from the University of Kansas in 2008, where he is now Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering and Engineering Management. Highly educated, Dr. Kraft earned multiple advanced degrees, including a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Dayton, an M.S. in Structures and Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Ohio State University and an MBA from Rockhurst University. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in three states.
Along with an extensive career in higher education administration and teaching, Dr. Kraft has also founded and helped manage three companies in private industry. In Dayton, Ohio, he founded Shaw Weiss & DeNaples, a consulting and environmental engineering firm and Managing Technology, Inc. (MTI) of Overland Park, Kansas. MTI developed computer-based management systems for roadways and automated pavement testing equipment. More recently, he was Vice President and Owner/Partner at Accubrace Shoring of Howard Lake, Minnesota, where he provided technical assistance, project management, engineering coordination and financial/strategic business planning. Dr. Kraft now lends his many years of experience in consulting engineering and business strategies to Argus’ Board of Directors.

Kristin Eder, PE, REM
VP of Operations
As Vice President of Operations, Kristin is responsible for the successful execution of the company’s continuous improvement initiatives and the scheduling of projects and deliverables, as well as monitoring staff utilization, managing firm technology, maintaining health and safety procedures and establishing company standards. During her 20-year career, she served as the senior environmental engineer and project manager for aviation fueling system projects at many of the nation’s busiest airports and U.S. military bases and as the Environmental Manager for a multi-billion dollar, five-year capital development program. Kristin earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a registered professional engineer and Environmental Manager.

Dan Frank, PE, PEng
VP of Engineering
Dan Frank leads the engineering objectives for Argus and serves in the roles of project manager and project design engineer. A professional mechanical engineer licensed in eight states and three Canadian provinces, Dan has more than 20 years of fueling industry experience covering large commercial fuel storage, self-service fuel dispensing stations, major pipeline receipt, transport unloading, refueler loading and hydrant system distribution systems – even a new centralized community fuel depot in Canada’s northern Yukon. A private pilot who enjoys flying with a local formation team and has performed nationwide at flyovers and air shows, Dan has also designed fueling system solutions for a dozen small general aviation airports and led the development of General Aviation Fueling Standards for use at the nearly 300 general aviation airports across Texas. Dan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri.
