The Austin Pipeline Corporation utilized the professional services of Argus Consulting to initiate the preliminary phase of construction for a new jet fuel pipeline from Bastrop, Texas to The Austin/Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas. The concept of this program was to install a new common carrier pipeline to provide a more cost effective method of supplying jet fuel to the airport in greater capacities. Argus’ task was to assess a right of way for construction of the pipeline. In doing so, it was determined the 20-mile routing should maximize the use of public property parallel to the Texas Roadway System and minimize the need to traverse private property. Following the confirmation of an optimum routing, drawings were submitted for the necessary approvals and permits. Following this step, final documents will be prepared to facilitate construction and operational procedures.
