Argus performed a comprehensive engineering study and assessment of the fuel facilities primarily supporting the B2 Bomber. The project included reviewing and updating the MID 909 report and associated 1391 Forms.

Argus, in conjunction with Environmental Technology, also provided inspections and assessments of fuel storage tanks. A final report was prepared, highlighting the facts, findings, conclusions and recommendations from API-653 Inspection Reports and the Containment Basin Report. Additionally, order-of-magnitude cost estimates were developed to assist the ACC, AETC, AFCESA, CEBC and CES as the agencies determined the financial impact of implementing the recommendation.

Argus identified repairs required to the tanks, including replacement of a tank bottom. The installation of the foundation, liner, and cathodic protection required temporary relocation of the storage tank. To accomplish this, the tank was raised and placed on railroad tracks so that it could be moved out of the way during construction.
