Miami International Airport (MIA)
Construction Management
The MIA Airlines Fuel Committee selected Argus Consulting to
provide specialized consulting and construction services with
respect to a major expansion program at Miami International
Airport.
Fuel Storage Facility
Modifications
This project included significant
modifications to the aircraft fuel storage facility. To maintain an
adequate supply of jet fuel for one of the largest hub airports
in the U.S., three new 95,600 BBL aboveground fuel tanks were
installed to supplement the 15 existing tanks that are currently
active.
Piping, Power and Controls
Systems
In addition to the tank erection contract,
modifications to the piping, power and controls systems were
integrated into the overall project. This allowed shared use of
this additional capacity between the north and south hydrant system
pump/filtration equipment that served the entire airport.
