Program Management
Argus Consulting was selected as a part of the Corgan Program
Management Team by American Airlines for a major passenger terminal
expansion program at Miami International Airport.
Programming Development
The
task of the Program Management Team was to develop planning and
programming documents facilitating the design and construction of a
new 47 gate complex. The challenge was to determine the building
sequence and functional concept of this facility, permitting
extensive construction with minimal gate closures and disruption to
operations.
The Argus Role
The Argus role
in this unique project was one of a specialized aircraft fueling
consultant. Specific assignments included: analysis of the
entire existing aircraft fuel storage, distribution and hydrant
systems serving MIA, development of a concept for the new A/A
Concourses A-D hydrant system, preliminary capacity calculations
with respect to system flow rates, determination of applicable
codes and standards and the creation of a construction phasing
plan.
